Do you as a Java developer know, how much time you spent on testing your application? Do you know how much time you actually write new code, and how long you browse through existing code? Do you want to win amazing prizes?

Then install TestRoots WatchDog!

WatchDog assess your development behavior, which tests you write (Junit, Mockito, Powermock and others) and gives you answers to the above questions. WatchDog comes with the "WatchDog Statistics" view that displays the answers in easy-to-understand diagrams and immediate statistics on your development habits.

We support all current versions of Junit (Junit3 and Junit4), and we measure developer testing, system testing and integration testing time (so long as you name your Test classes ending in Test, or have includes to Junit, Mockito or Powermock in them).

Complex model transformations written in general-purpose languages like Java are often huge and hard to maintain.
The OMG QVT (Query/View/Transformation) open standard defines a model-oriented transformation language.
QVT Operational component is an implementation of the Operational Mappings Language defined by the OMG
standard specification (MOF) 2.0 Query/View/Transformation.

Based on MDT OCL, the Operational QVT project aims to be fully compliant with the QVT standard providing a powerful Eclipse IDE:
- feature-rich editor (syntax highlighting, hovers, hyperlinks, code completion, templates, outline, quick outline, problem markers, etc.)
- debugger (breakpoints (including conditions), StepOver, StepIn, StepOut, Run to Line, variables view, expressions view, watches)
- metamodel browser
- trace view
- project builders
- launch configurations
- deployment facilities and Ant support
- Java API for executing QVT transformations programmatically
- extended support for the standalone execution of transformations
- support of Java Black-Box units and libraries

Additional tooling is QVTO Code Coverage Tools which provides:
- capabilities to annotate the Operational QVT Editor to highlight covered and non-covered parts of a transformation module or library unit
- JUnit launch configuration delegate as a means to integrate with the JUnit test framework

June 16, 2015 - 12:21

EMF-IncQuery is a high perfomance incremental graph search framework. With IncQuery, you can define declarative queries over EMF models, and execute them efficiently without manual Java coding (think SPARQL for EMF). The intuitive, Xtext-base query language is based on graph patterns that provide high (OCL-like) expressive power with a more concise, reusability-focused syntax that also supports integrating inline Xbase/Java. This versatile language is supported by a high performance query evaluation engine based on the Rete algorithm, known from expert systems. With this technology, EMF-IncQuery can provide real-time query evaluation performance (that is, instantaneous re-evaluation as the models change) for really complex queries over very large instance models (up to several millions of EObjects in size).

In addition to the model query features, EMF-IncQuery provides built-in support for the specification and execution of model validation rules that will be checked on-the-fly, and the specification and automatic maintenance of derived features (edges and attributes) that support EMF notifications out of the box.

Project Import

You can import an existing Gradle project through the Eclipse Import Wizard functionality. In distinct steps, the import wizard allows you to specify the location of the Gradle project, configure the various optional, advanced settings, and see a summary of how the project will be imported.

During the import, the Eclipse projects are created and configured as Java projects with the proper classpath and project dependencies. You can stop the import at any time by pressing the Stop button in the Progress View.

Task View

In the Gradle Task View, you can see the tasks of all the imported Gradle projects. The tasks can be sorted, filtered, and executed. The selection in Eclipse can be key linked to the selection of the task view, both ways. The content of the task view can be refreshed, meaning the latest version of the Gradle build files are loaded. You can stop the refresh at any time by pressing the Stop button in the Progress View. You can navigate from a project to its build file through the context menu.

Task Execution

You can execute Gradle tasks from the Task View through double-clicking, right-clicking, or via keyboard. In case multiple tasks are selected, they are passed to Gradle in the order they were selected. Each time a Gradle build is executed with a different set of tasks, a new Gradle run configuration is created. You can edit existing run configurations and create new run configurations through the Run Configurations dialog. All settings can be configured in the run configuration dialog.

Whenever a Gradle build is executed, a new Gradle console is opened that contains the output from the build. You can cancel the execution of the build by pressing the Stop button in the Gradle console. The Gradle consoles can be closed individually or all at once.

Phases and Goals

May times you want to list the actual goals associated with phases of Mane lifecycle. The

mvn help:describe -Dcmd=phase

command only lists the goals associated via the lifecycle definition and not the ones that you configure in your pom. The Phases and Goals plugins does exactly that. It shows the Phases and Goals in a checked tree dialog. You can select the set of phases and goals and then either run them (requires 3.3.1 for the goal with execution id support) or copy them to clipboard. Selected a phase selects all the goals in it. You can also dump the phases and goals to Maven Console.

This feature is implemented as a Eclipse fragment for M2E UI plugin.

Date Updated:
June 18, 2015 - 11:56

Bonita BPM is an intuitive and powerful Business Process Management (BPM) solution for creating and executing process based applications.

Bonita BPM combines three solutions in one: a user-friendly Studio for process modeling and application development, an execution engine, and a breakthrough end-user web interface.

With Bonita Studio , an Eclipse-based graphical interface, users can draw their processes as naturally as on a white board. They can then define process actors & data, and link them easily with their Information Systems.

Bonita Studio comes with more than 100 built in and contributed connectors for many commonly used commercial and open-source database, messaging system, ERP, CRM, ECM and more.
Examples: AD, Alfresco, BIRT, eXo, Jaspersoft, LDAP, Nuxeo, SAP, Sharepoint, SugarCRM, Talend ...

Bonita Studio also provides a drag-n-drop application builder helping users design their web-forms easily - and add specific code when needed to achieve full customization.

When the application is designed, a simple click is enough to deploy it - either in the built-in test environment, or in production mode.

Other Studio features include process simulation, documentation generation, report and dashboard design.

Bonita Execution Engine is a powerful and scalable Java workflow engine. It is flexible enough to adapt easily to any Information Systems architecture, from simple to complex. And it's powerful enough to support intensive workload.

Bonita Portal is a BPM web-portal conceived to be as simple to use as an e-mail inbox allowing end-user to manage their processes and daily tasks.

Bonita Portal also give authorized users all the means to monitor and administrate processes execution.
